It’s here! It’s here! The new blog is here!

Welcome to the new home of The Family Foodie!  Thanks to the talented Lindsay at Purr Design, The Foodie has a fresh new look and some fabulous new features.  Take a look around and you might notice:

  1. Printable recipes!  Each recipe now appears at the end of a blog post in easy-to-print format.  No more fumbling to highlight and print only the recipe portion of a post.  I live to make your lives easier, you know.
  2. A complete archive!  At the top of this page, on the right-hand side, you’ll see a link to a complete archive of every recipe that appears on this blog.  You can search by category or month; click on a category, for instance, and you’ll see photos and links to all the offerings in that group.  (What’s For Dinner? Just click and see!)
  3. Better photographs.  Working my way back through a year’s worth of posts, I was able to see how far I’ve come as a photographer of the food I make.  While the earliest posts still feature stock photos–I’ll be working on replacing those as time allows–the later posts give you some idea of how I’m trying to grow in this area.  I’m nowhere near being a professional, by any means, but I’m learning something new with every picture I take.  I’m really excited to keep that process going.  And, since the new blog format supports larger photographs, you’ll be able to get up close and personal with all my creations from here on out.

It’s been great fun to take a look back and see how far The Family Foodie has come since I started my blogging journey last summer. The comments and encouragement I’ve received from each of you have made that journey more rewarding than I could have imagined.  Thank you all, a million times over.  I wouldn’t still be doing this without your support.

I hope you’ll keep reading as I move forward into the next chapter of this great adventure!

Share! It's the right thing to do.
